Safety

We're are finally warming up a bit around here and the bikes are coming out. I talked to the kids reminding them of the always wear your helmet rule. Every time I go out to check on them, they have a helmet on, but Calvin just can't seem to figure out to put it on right.

It's backwards every time.

Think it will still protect his head even when it's backwards?

It probably confuses him cuz he assumes you need the most protection in the frontal lobe of the brain.

Plus, the geekier he looks the more the girls will stay away from him. I say you stop correcting him.

That is pretty funny. I wouldn't correct him, he'll be fine. It's worth the laugh.

I am a bad mom, I gave up on helmets because my kids can't even get them on right. They can be choking them and still be loose on top of the head. oh well. Besides around here NO ONE wears them, it is pretty rare to see even a motorcyclist with a helmet on.... Now that is Stupid!.

Is the reason you are pushing helmets so much because of an incident? I think it is a little too late for the helmet to help.

Just kidding, obviously. He is a brilliant boy...in most areas...

I don't get those helmets, myself. They never look like they'd do anyone any good when put on right or wrong. I'd like to see some statistics before I make the effort!

He'll be fine, as long as he peddles backwards.

Clearly, it was backwards day. Don't you watch Sponge Bob?

That is funny!! Kids... I wouldn't correct it either, Hayley's bike helmet flew off her head before she crashed to ground and it was put on correctly.
