A Christmas Miracle

In March of 2007, a couple of my sisters and I took a cruise to "beautiful Encinada, Mexico". (It's a quote, not my quote, but still a quote.) While we were on our shopping tour of "beautiful Encinada, Mexico" I came across this fireproof Gucci purse. Pretty sure it is the real deal.

That was almost 3 years ago, and since then I've bought other knock-off purses, but never actually used them. I have no idea where they are, and when I did know, I was too lazy to transfer all my Sonic and WalMart receipts into a new purse. As you can clearly see, the genuine leather is starting to peel away from the cloth handle making my real, fireproof Gucci purse look a little dumpy.
I've been talking about getting a new purse for the last couple months, but I'm all talk. I talk a lot, to a lot of people, and shockingly some of those people actually listen to me. My friend Anissa brought me over this beauty as a Chrismas present.

It's way bigger! Plus, it was filled with these treats.

There is no way anyone will ever be able to top this gift! Thanks Anissa!

Oh no thank you!!! I totally think you deserved it and it was such a HUGE sacrifice for me (but that's what the sister wives club is all about)

Oh, I think I can top it...you just wait :) (No offense Anissa, it was an awesome purse, in fact if you have any extras...) Anyway, you look FAB in the picture too, did a professional take it?

Well bravo Anissa.... bravo. ::slow clap::

I think there's a cutsy little ornament on your tree that begs to differ.

Landee, I was saving your gift so I'd have something to open on Christmas morning! Now I guess I'll have to stick with pretending to just be happy watching my kids open up their crap.

I am going for longevity. That is why I will not replace my purse from Target that I bought in 2006 for at least 6 more years. I want a FULL 10 years out of it.

So did you transfer all your Sonic and WalMart receipts into your new purse, or did those Jacob/Edward candies take up all your receipt space? Better eat that candy fast!

I was hoping you'd hold out for that "European Shoulder Bag" Howie told you about!

Hi Amy - I came across your blog from either Jeni or Jana's. I moved in their ward a couple months ago. It was fun to see your blog. I see you at the "Y" just briefly every now and then to pick up Vivian.
