It's pretty much Sara's fault

I am a huge slacker when it comes to getting my boys hair cut. Calvin's hair is easy, just a quick shave. But the other two, well, it's a bit more complicated. They both have longer hair, and it needs to be styled. Baileys has gotten out of control. This picture was taken a month ago. His hair grows really fast too. So you can imagine the length it would be a month later, right?

On Sunday afternoon, I gave a call to my sister Sara. She's a professional. She went to beauty school, and passed. I simply asked her if she would be willing to give up her relaxing Sunday evening and cut my boys hair. She said she would call me back. I gave her until Monday afternoon, and never heard from her. I made the decision to take them to a walk in place. I should have known what to expect when I walked in. One of the ladies was wearing white capri's with black tube socks pulled up high, and a pair of sandals. We won't even get into the other two ladies working there. So I check my boys in. And Bailey goes first. She asked me what kind of haircut I wanted. I told her to keep it the same, just shorten it. But, to be careful with the bangs (I HATE short bangs) And then I said "I don't want it to be a mullet". She just looked at me, so I said "Do you know what a mullet is?" She snapped back, "I know what a mullet is!" (Obviously I've hit a nerve. I'm pretty sure her boyfriend has a mullet) Here is the finished product. You tell me.......Is this, or is this not a mullet?!?!?!

I say YES!!!!! Look how she parted it in the middle and feathered it. Woa....turn down the faucet Ferra!

As soon as we left the chop shop, I tried calling Sara. She never answered. I gave my friend Steph a call, and she let us come right over. She thought Bailey resembled more of a Dorothy Hamill than a mullet, is there much of a difference?
Either way, she fixed it and saved the day. He is a handsome little guy. I almost forgot he had eyebrows.

Thanks Steph!

I can promise you there is an identical picture of my bro out there somewhere.... of course, that was back in the 70s though.

Did you want to cry your eyes out? How did Bailey handle it?

Sara... shame on you!

I totally peed myself (again) reading this post. I just keep picturing you paying the lady and trying to say thanks and act normal and stuff before you walk out. LOLLERZ.

What about Howie's?

when i was a kid in camarillo supercuts butchered my hair, then all the hairdressers gathered around me and said "that's the style now". I'm soo glad i'm loosing my hair so i don't have to worry about such things anymore.

I think if anyone in the whole world could pull off that haircut it is Bailey. He should have tested it out at school. I bet there would ahve been 10 kids with the same haircut the next day.

Oh so funny!!! It looks like his bangs got curled too. Thanks to Steph for saving the day. She's given me a good haircut too before.

Amy-good-looking family.
BTW, I'll be spending the next two months lurking around your website trying to figure out what I've missed the past 12 years.

That is hilarious! I, too, am curious what he thought about the cut. Glad Steph could fix it up. He looks good!

I can not believe you got his hair re-cut! I'm sooo happy that you were able to preserve the look for his posterity though.
